Opportunities  to be involved in the Trail Trek
Sponsorship

Although the Canada Trail Trek has enough funding to complete the voyage there is a great need for more finance to make to coverage of the voyage more complete, to be able to use better equipment and to have better production and recording facilities along the route than are presently in place.

  • Provision of horses and dogs, with supervision from experts in each locality along the route

  • Cost of specially designed canoe for the Great Lakes part of the Trek

  • Assistance with equipment for video recording

  • Trek travel expenses and motorhome provision

  • Navigation aids and communication devices

  • Physical help from guides and local people with specific knowledge

  • Costs of flights

Networking
​
As the Trek continues the more people will walk alongside or follow the adventure. The community that will form around the Trek will have more than the journey in common. The love of adventure, the great outdoors, the commitment to the Great Trail and its promotion, business, tourism, commerce, art, music, photography, culture, history and aspects of Canadian heritage plus many other facets of the journey will unite groups with mutual interests; these networks will be encouraged.  Contacts and information with be exchanged and made available to people with similar interests, and it is my hope that these connections will continue on, long after the voyage is completed, so there remains a legacy of cooperation and mutual benefit to all involved, at whatever level.

Advertising and product placement
​
Product placement is a subtle form of advertising.  The Trek will require many brands of equipment and services, including:
 
  • Outdoor clothing
  • Camping equipment
  • Local foods and restaurants
  • Guides and Trekking services
  • Holiday centres and places of interest
  • Techinical equipment
  • Media coverage
 
Brand names will appear in the videos and photos and the equipment will be seen being used on the Great Trail.  Endorsements and reccomendations of the products can be arranged with critical analysis provided.  Holiday guides and trekking organisations will be required on the journey and their staff and owners will be videoed and written into the blogs and resultant book about the journey.

Advertising and promotional appearances are available.  Only our immaginations limit the possible advertising opportunities that this unique journey presents to us.  The Canada Trail Trek will not only appear in Canada but will also be followed and promoted in Europe, Austrailia, New Zeland, England and other French and English speaking countries, with pontial huge market populations to reach.

Marketing and publicity
​
With the general media interest and publication of the videos and book, the profile of the journey will be brought to international public attention in many platforms.  During the journey, there will be many opportunities for publicity.  The many possibilities of using this generated awareness in marketing, business and corporate marketing, including government and the private sector is tremendous.
